I am co-founder of the Source Clinic and an experienced acupuncturist with much clinical, educational and research expertise. I have been treating in London since 2005 and am currently a member of the Acupuncture Society. Working as an acupuncturist means I am constantly in awe of the body’s natural capacity to heal itself. Watching the treatment stimulate this healing into action is something I value highly. I find it inspiring to see someone who has been out of balance become more and more realigned, relieved of long term symptoms, conceiving the baby they have been longing for, or simply living life with happiness.

We need to work harder to stay in touch with our natural rhythms nowadays. Everything is working against them: we don’t realise the effect of stress on our lives as we rush to work, spend long periods on computers, constantly communicate on mobile phones. The pace of life just increases, so the body tells us when this gets too much, which is why so many people are stressed and suffering from depression, exhaustion, infertility, back pain… the list goes on. It’s the body’s own intelligence that needs to be accessed for healing to take place. Five element acupuncture encourages a state of equilibrium, following the laws of nature, so that the body can do what it needs to do to function healthily.
Every human system is different and it is fascinating to intuitively work with each person on a one-to-one level. It’s gratifying to see people feeling better or overcoming obstacles, and these are just the concrete effects; I also find the personal interaction deeply rewarding at every stage of treatment.
